The journey of a lifetime begins at the Safdarjung Railway Station where the guests are accorded a warm, traditional welcome before the Palace-on-Wheels pulls out into the night for a weeklong royal journey through fascinating Rajasthan. Enjoy Dinner on-board.

Jaipur

Enjoy Breakfast on-board, as you are welcomed with traditional music and garlands upon your arrival in Jaipur, the first stop in your royal train journey. One of the most well planned cities of the world in its time, this capital of Rajasthan popularly known as the ‘Pink City’ was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727 A.D.
Later explore this vibrant city, as an air-conditioned coach takes you to the palace of winds ‘Hawa Mahal’, Albert Hall Museum, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, and traditional shopping. Later you will be taken to ‘Amber Fort’ where royal elephants await to climb you up the fort overlooking the Maota Lake. Enjoy exploring this magnificent fort and have Lunch on-site. Later return back to your royal train with Dinner on-board. Arrival 02.00 hrs. Departure 20.00 hrs.

 HYDERABAD:

Hyderabad is the capital of southern India’s Telangana state. A major center for the technology industry, it’s home to many upscale restaurants and shops. Its historic sites include Golconda Fort, a former diamond-trading center that was once the Qutb Shahi dynastic capital. The Charminar, a 16th-century mosque whose 4 arches support towering minarets, is an old city landmark near the long-standing Laad Bazaar.

Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore) - Chittorgarh

“Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)” One can almost sense a life of the wilderness, as the Palace-onWheels arrives in Sawai Madhopur, a city named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. Enjoy Breakfast on-board as later you will be taken to visit the ‘Ranthambhore National Park’, wherein are located the ruins of a 10th century fort. Here you will enjoy a thrilling encounter with rarest of wildlife. This wildlife sanctuary is famed for observing and photographing the activities of Tiger’s. The sanctuary covers an area of 392 sq kms, and home to over 300 species of birds, hyena, jackal, fox and more. Later return back to your royal train for your onward journey to ‘Chittorgarh’ as you enjoy Lunch on-board. Arrival 04.45 hrs. Departure 10.20 hrs.

“Chittorgarh” Enjoy afternoon on the train as it travels through the lush green countryside before arriving to Chittorgarh. Upon arrival you will be visiting the grand “Chittorgarh Fort”, considered as the largest fort of India covering 680 acres. Enjoy a spectacular sound and light show at the fort, followed by an evening tea & coffee on site. Later return back to your royal train for Dinner on-board. Arrival 16.00 hrs. Departure 02.00 hrs.

Udaipur

Moving legends of honor and pride will echo in your mind as you proceed to the famed lake city of “Udaipur”. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar, after the Sisodia dynasty was driven away by the Mughals in 1559 A.D, Udaipur truly reflects the grandeur of medieval India. Upon arrival in Udaipur, enjoy Lunch on-board. Next we tour this magnificent city on a deluxe coach visiting the garden of maidens ‘Saheliyon Ki Bari’ followed by vibrant city shopping. Visit the royal ‘City Palace’ and Crystal Gallery (famed for owning largest collection of crystal the world). Enjoy traditional Lunch at the Palace Hotel Fateh Prakash.
Absorb this soothing experience as you aboard a classic Udaipur boat ride along the famed ‘Lake Pichola’. Later return back to your royal train for an evening tea refreshment.
Enjoy Dinner on-board as we depart for the golden desert city of ‘Jaisalmer’.

Jaisalmer

In the heart of the Thar desert lies Jaisalmer, founded by Rawal Jaisal in 1156 A.D. This golden city is set on a ridge of yellow sandstone crowned by a fort, towering magnificently overlooking the town.
Upon arrival visit the majestic ‘Gadsisar Lake’ and the Jaisalmer Fort. Explore the beauty of this city and its Haveli mansions. Enjoy traditional Lunch at the Gorbhand Palace Hotel.Next we depart for ‘Sam Sand Dunes’ in the desert where you will enjoy typical camel ride and tea refreshments. Later return back to your royal train to unwind. Followed by authentic Dinner & cultural entertainments at Surya Garh Palace Hotel.

Jodhpur

Next morning the Palace-on-Wheels is in the blue city of ‘Jodhpur’. Ringed by high stoned walls and blue-washed houses, Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan founded by ‘Rao Jodha’ in 1459 A.D. Jodhpur is famed for exquisite handicraft articles including the famous breeches, embroidered shoes, silverware, paintings, tie and dye.
Upon arrival you will be served Breakfast on-board, followed bydeparture for city sightseeing visiting the famed ‘Mehrangarh Fort’, white marble cenotaph ‘Jaswant Thada’, and visit to the opulent ‘Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum’.
Enjoy classic city shopping followed by Lunch at Hanumant Palace
Hotel.
After lunch return back to your royal train a we depart for ‘Bharatpur’ with Dinner on-board.

Bharatpur – Agra

“Bharatpur”
In the morning, the Palace on Wheels arrives in Bharatpur, the capital of ‘Maharaja Suraj Mal’. After breakfast on-board pay a visit to the world famous bird sanctuary ‘Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary’, nesting thousands of globally rare bird species. Enjoy exciting and close encounters with rich flora and fauna whilst you aboard traditional ‘rickshaw cycle ride’ inside the park.
Later return back to your royal train with Breakfast on-board.
Arrival 07.30 hrs. Departure 08:30 hrs.
“Agra”
Upon arrival in Agra you will be taken to explore the city visiting the royal ‘Agra Fort’ followed by Lunch at Hotel Mughal Sheraton. Next we head to the magnificent ‘Taj Mahal’ an epitome of love. Renowned as one of the main 7 wonders of the world, the Taj was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.
Later you will be taken for a classic Agra shopping. Keep in mind
that Agra is famed for its splendid marble inlay work, leather
goods and jewelry.
